The Conwy Valley Line will be closed all day tomorrow, Friday 5th December, due to expected rainfall, Transport for Wales has announced.
The railway line runs between Llandudno Junction and Blaenau Ffestiniog, and Transport for Wales is urging passengers to check before travelling, as no trains will run.
Additionally, Network Rail will be closing the line between 11 pm on Saturday, 6th December and 6 am on Monday, 8th December.
Engineers will be completing a range of drainage, vegetation management and track renewal projects.
Buses will replace trains on Sunday, 7th December, between Llandudno and Llandudno Junction / Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Additionally, work will also take place in January but these wont affect services.

Absolutely stupid!
what a way to run a railway ! My Grandfather, an ex BR Steam driver, just wouldn’t believe it.
Oh dear, yet another “precautionary” closure of a railway service. If trains were to be always cancelled because of “expected rain”, then no trains would run at all in Britain because rain is pretty much always expected!
As for passengers being advised “to check before they travel” there’s little point if no trains at all are going to run.
