The Great Central Railway are to run a special service this Christmas Day, with passengers only advised to pay what they can afford.
Three trains will run at 11:30, 12:45 and 14:30 and will pick up passengers at Loughborough and Leicester only.
Quorn and Woodhouse will remain closed on this day, and no trains will pick up or set down passengers here.
Tickets can be bought onboard the train, and the railway is advising passengers to only pay what they can afford.
Each ticket will go to supporting the railway, and light refreshments will be available on board.
The Great Central Railway says that it will provide people with some company and a chance to spend the day with their railway family.
We think this is a fantastic idea. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.

Excellent idea!
Lovely and thoughtful idea. Well done GCR.
Great Idea. Sometimes Christmas isn’t the best time of the year and this would make a welcome diversion for those who have reasons not to celebrate.
If the GCR could lay on some snow too that would be perfect!
Wonderful idea! A splendid, generous gesture by the GCR>
I think this is a great idea! Something different to do on Christmas Day.
