Ahead of New Year celebrations, ScotRail is reminding passengers to plan their journeys.

The last train tomorrow will depart earlier than usual, and there will be no trains on New Year’s Day.

On the 2nd January, they will be running with a revised service, so passengers should ensure they can still get home when travelling by train over the next few days.

Full details on the alterations and the last trains are available online.

“We hope all our customers have had a wonderful time with family and friends during the Christmas period and have a prosperous New Year.

“We’re encouraging everyone looking to travel over the next few days to plan ahead and check their journey on the ScotRail app or website before they set off.

“The last trains on New Year’s Eve will depart earlier than usual, and the first trains of the day will start later than normal on Friday, 2 January.”

Mark Ilderton, ScotRail Service Delivery Director
