Hornby has issued an update on the new products it released during November 2025.

One of its biggest sellers is the latest TT:120 train set, designed to introduce both beginners and experienced modellers to the smaller TT:120 scale. It includes a highly detailed Southern Railway B4 Class 0-4-0 tank engine Normandy, a plank wagon based on Bestwood Iron Works, and a grey Southern Railways closed wagon.

Also of interest to TT:120 fans are the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway 0-6-0 ‘Terrier’ tank engines. Two versions are available, British Railways No. 32655 in lined black, and a version used on the Isle of Wight, Southern Railway No. W14 Bembridge. They are constructed with a die-cast body incorporating a powerful coreless motor and NEM tension lock couplings.

A set of wagons emblazoned with liveries celebrating The Beatles has been released in plenty of time for a new film about the Fab Four due out in 2028. They include four Anthology wagons, and wagons liveried with album covers such as Meet The Beatles, Second Album, Hard Days Night and Yellow Submarine.

For the younger members of the family, a new Playtrains locomotive has been released in the Steam Tank Engine Express. It is designed for children aged five and over, and has working lights, sounds, and multiple speed options.

On 22nd and 23rd November, Hornby was an exhibitor at the National Festival of Railway Modelling 2025, where it took part in Peco’s diorama challenge with a fairly accurate depiction in model railway form of the Hornby offices at Margate in Kent.

With Christmas nearly here, the company ran a Dear Hornby Christmas Competition, in which children aged five to 16 years old were asked to send their model railway-related wish lists, in the hope that Santa would oblige. The winners are being announced today, Monday, 8th December.

To get further into the Christmas spirit, Hornby is running a series of giveaways throughout December.
