This weekend, Network Rail will be carrying out drainage work between Derby and Chesterfield (13th and 14th December).
The improvement work will require amendments to services, as it will be carried out at three sites.
The work will help ensure reliability in the event of flooding at Belper, Ogston, and Clay Cross.
CrossCountry journey will take longer between Derby and the North East, with East Midlands Railway running on an amended timetable between London St Pancras and Sheffield.
Northern will also have an amended timetable between Sheffield and Nottingham on the 13th only.
Passengers are advised to check before they travel to ensure that they can reach their destinations, which can be done online.
“We’re carrying out essential drainage upgrades this weekend between Derby and Chesterfield to improve reliability on this key route.
“These works will help keep services running smoothly in the future, but we appreciate they will cause some disruption this weekend. We’re sorry to anyone whose journey is affected and encourage everyone to check before they travel.”
