A specially designed Christmas timetable has been created by Merseyrail to help passengers utilise services over the festive period.

Bar Christmas, services will run every day, with special services on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day and early finishes on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

They are also supporting businesses along the network with an Advent Calendar event at Liverpool Central Station, which runs until the 23rd December.

The giant Advent Calendar on the station wall will give customers the chance to win prizes donated by local businesses to highlight the importance of shopping local.

One lucky customer will also win a bumper prize bundle behind door 24, including £500 in Love2Shop vouchers, a year’s worth of free travel, and more.
