GB Railfreight has announced that another two Class 99 locomotives have arrived in the UK.

On Thursday, 27th November, 99003 and 99004 arrived at Bristol Port Company’s Royal Portbury Dock.

Both locomotives, which were built in Valencia, will undergo testing in the coming weeks.

They will join 99001 and 99002, which are almost ready to enter service early in 2026.

“As we prepare for the 99s to enter service in the new year, it was nice to receive an early Christmas gift from Valencia.

The Class 99s delivers performance and environmental benefits for our customers, and will herald a rail freight revolution in 2026.”
