Journeys in Lincolnshire will be altered for the next two weekends while Network Rail engineers carry out a £2 million investment.
While they install 1.5 miles of new track at Boardsides near Boston, Lincolnshire, an amended timetable will run between Nottingham and Skegness.
They will also be installing 3,800 sleepers and 4,200 tonnes of ballast to help keep the line smooth and reliable.
The timetable will be in operation on the 29th and 30th November and again on the 6th and 7th December.
On both weekends, buses will run between Sleaford and Boston to ensure people can still reach their destinations.
Passengers should check before they travel to see how their journey may be affected, which can be done with their operator or with National Rail.
“We’re investing £2 million to renew the track near Boston, which will make journeys smoother and more reliable for passengers.
“This work is essential to keep the railway safe and efficient for years to come. We appreciate people’s patience while we carry out these improvements and advise passengers to check before they travel.”
Dan Matthews, Network Rail operations director
