From the 14th December, South Wales Metro services will run later, providing more services to open up travel options for customers.
Some of the later services, especially the later connections from Cardiff Bay, will allow people travelling by train to enjoy more nights out.
A new hourly Sunday service will be introduced between Penarth and Coryton, and on Friday, three later trains from Cardiff to Treherbert, Aberdare and Merthyr Tydfil will run.
A new 05:37 train will run Monday to Saturday from Bridgend to Craduff to better support early commuters.
Ynyswen station will also be reopened after upgrades.
As always, those using level crossings are reminded to Stop, Look, and Listen before crossing.
“Railway connections are vital in driving prosperity.
“These changes will make a real difference to customers, who will benefit from more services across Wales and the Borders.
“This has been made possible by our £800m investment in brand-new trains for the Wales and Borders network.”
Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales, Ken Skates
