Work will soon be underway at Woodbridge Station to repair the footbridge.

Greater Anglia has advised that passengers allow extra time to access the station as the bridge will be closed from 10th November until 24th December.

Passengers can access the platforms via the level crossing.

Additionally, the Network Rail footbridge will also need to close on four weekends: 14th–17th, 21st–24th November, 28th November–1st December, and 5th–8th December.

The bride will close on Fridays from 10 pm until 6 am on Mondays.

Engineers will be strengthening the steelwork while completing a full repaint and installing new handrails and lighting.

“Investing in upgrades across our network demonstrates Greater Anglia’s ongoing commitment to providing excellent facilities and a safe, comfortable experience for our customers.

“The refurbishment of Woodbridge station footbridge will significantly improve safety and enhance the station environment. We would like to thank our customers and neighbours for their patience and understanding while this important work takes place.”

Andrew Goodrum, Infrastructure & Major Projects Director at Greater Anglia
