The Epping Ongar Railway has announced the return of two much-loved festive events – The Classic: Santa’s Special Trains and The Spectacle: Lights Party Express.
From the 29th of November, families can enjoy the Santa Specials to create long-lasting memories on board while also meeting Santa.
Children can share their Christmas wishes with Santa and receive a gift while they take a festive train ride through the forest.
The Lights Party Express is another family-friendly event which runs on numerous dates throughout November, December, and January.
Families can enjoy the light show, which is synced to music, with special wristbands that also sync to the show.
Tickets are on sale for both events, with demand expected to be high. Booking is essential as soon as possible to ensure a preferred date is secured.

When I was a schoolboy, we could get the train from Ongar, then change at Epping to Buckhurst Hill, then walk down Roding Lane to school.
In those days it was still a shuttle service, but Epping – Ongar rather than the current North Weald – Ongar.
