The Wensleydale Railway will be celebrating Christmas once again with the Edwardian Christmas event.
The door of Scruton Station will open up to welcome visitors on the 14th December between 1 pm and 4 pm.
The station will be filled with costumed living history interpreters, featuring a festive theme that includes roasting chestnuts and carol singing.
The event is suitable for all ages, featuring craft activities and treats, including mince pies and mulled wine.

Tickets cost £6.50 for adults and include a mince pie and a hot drink, either mulled wine or a hot chocolate.
Children can enter for £3, where they get a hot chocolate and a festive treat.
This event does not require you to pre-book, and people are welcome to just turn up and enjoy the festivities.
Those attending should note that train services will not be running on the event day, and there is no on-site parking at the station.
Further information can be found on their website, along with their other events, including the Polar Express!
“Our annual Edwardian Christmas event at Scruton Station is a wonderful opportunity to welcome visitors from near and far to enjoy some festive cheer and share the spirit of the season over mince pies and a cup of mulled wine or hot chocolate. The event has a relaxed, drop-in atmosphere so you are welcome to stay as long as you like and experience the station at its most magical. We look forward to celebrating the season with you!”

Hmm… seems odd to me to pick a station with no parking to offer a Christmas event, especially when no trains are running either. How does the Wensleydale railway expect visitors to get there, other than the small number who live close enough to walk?
