Following Dovetail Games’ announcement that an Add-on for Train Sim World 6 of a Class 142 Pacer in Transport for Wales (TfW) livery would be released on Tuesday, 25th November, the full details are now known.

The setting is Cardiff around 2019, with Class 142 Pacers in Transport for Wales livery operating to a 2019 timetable on the hundreds of services that shuttle around the city, with the Pacers travelling along in their classic bouncy fashion.

For this Add-on, the Class 142 Pacers have had their Arriva name and logos removed and replaced by TfW branding over the underlying Arriva livery. Passenger announcements feature an authentic native Welsh accent, activated by a manual button in the cab.

A new timetable is included in this Add-on, which, as well as Class 142 Pacers, features 150 and 153 diesel multiple units (DMUs) operating on the various branch lines out of Cardiff Central and Cardiff Queen Street stations.

Players should note that neither the Class 150 nor 153 are included in the TfW Class 142 Add-on, and are only playable within the timetable specific to this Add-on, and require the Cardiff City Network to unlock them.

The Add-on also has AI layers from other Train Sim World Add-ons, including:

• GWR Class 802 and Class 150 services from the Riviera Line Add-on.
• A CrossCountry Class 220 Voyager service.
• Great Western Railway (GWR) HST and Class 166 services from the Great Western Express Add-on.
• CrossCountry Class 170 services from Rivet Games’ Class 170 Add-on.
• Class 66 freight services from the West Coast Main Line: London-Milton Keynes Add-on, and Cargo Line Volumes 1 and 3.
• A Railhead Treatment Train Add-on.

The timetable for this Add-on has been adjusted to provide a better experience for players sing Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The Train Sim World 6: Transport for Wales BR Class 142 DMU is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 from Epic Games Store and Steam for £12.99. A 40% discount can be obtained on the price of the Cardiff City Network for selected platforms until next Sunday, 1st December.
