The Fancott Miniature Railway has confirmed that the emergency services attended a fire at the railway this month.

The fire, in which thankfully, no one was hurt, happened at the back of the Fancott Arms pub and spread to the engine shed.

The shed suffered from some damage, but thankfully, the locos are all fine with no damage.

Santa specials are said to be unaffected, with the trains running on the 14th December 2025.

You can see the damage that the fire caused in the video below:

A Fancott Miniature Railway spokesperson said “Some of you may have heard there was a fire at the back of the pub this evening. Fortunately, nobody was hurt at all. Our engine shed has suffered some damage but our locos are all fine and have been moved out of the way. This won’t impact our Santa trains at all, which we’re taking bookings for. Our fantastic team of volunteers will ensure everything is in working order ready for Christmas!”
