The underground station at Battersea Power Station now has step-free access, which opened on the 6th October.
This is now the second fully accessible station along the Northern line and provides a more direct route to the station for people to use.
The new entrance features two escalators and a lift, which was funded by Transport for London, Wandsworth Council, Battersea Power Station and the Greater London Authority.

The opening of the Electric Boulevard entrance was attended by London’s Transport Commissioner, Andy Lord, and Deputy Mayor for Transport, Seb Dance, alongside residents from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
Also in attendance were Sam Cotton, Interim CEO of Battersea Power Station Development Company, and Simon Hogg, Leader of Wandsworth Council.
“London is for everyone, and the Mayor and I are committed to making our transport network as accessible as possible, enabling more people to enjoy all our great city has to offer. Opening this new station entrance in Battersea will support our ongoing work to deliver the Mayor’s ambitious target of making 50 per cent of the network step-free by 2030 and building a better, fairer, more accessible London for everyone.”
Seb Dance, Deputy Mayor of London for Transport
