The Autumn Steam Gala at the East Lancashire Railway kicked off this morning.
The gala runs from the 17th to the 19th of October and features some exciting guest locomotives.
Visiting locomotives include Ivatt 2MT No. 46441, courtesy of the Betty Beet and the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway, LMS Stanier Mogul No. 13268, courtesy of the Stanier Mogul Fund and the Severn Valley Railway, and Furness Railway No. 20, courtesy of the Furness Railway Trust.
These visitors will be joining resident locomotives in an intensive all-steam timetable.
Saturday will see No. 13268 work into the night, with one of the last arrivals into Bury Bolton Street after midnight.
