Over the festive period, there will be service disruptions running in and out of London Waterloo while engineering work is carried out near Queenstown Road.
From the 27th December 2025 until the 4th January 2026, engineers will be working on vital upgrades to improve the reliability and safety of the line.
Over 350 engineers will be renewing switches, track, conductor rail, and crossings between Queenstown Road and Nine Elms junction.
There will be work on the platforms at Queenstown Road station to accommodate the new track layout, meaning that it will be closed from the 27th December until the 4th January.
Additionally, Vauxhall station will be closed from the 27th December until the 30th December and again on the 1st January, with trains calling at the station on New Year’s Eve and from the 2nd January onwards.
On the 27th and 28th December, no trains will call at London Waterloo and will terminate at Clapham Junction.
Timetable reductions will be in place from 29th December until 4th January. These alterations are already available to view when booking tickets.
As usual, there will be no services on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
