Due to improvement work on the Bury tram line, replacement buses will be in place.

Work is taking place from the 25th October until the 30th October, which means that no tram services will run between Crumpsall and Bury.

The work will see a beam replacement take place at Whitefield Metrolink Tunnel, with further construction work taking place near Heaton Park on a substation.

Buses will run to all affected stops and will also continue to Victoria to allow passengers to complete all journeys.

All of the affected stops also have Bee Network bus services, which call near each of them frequently.

Passengers should check and plan their journeys online.

“These works are critical to making the network more resilient and will help us meet increasing demand in the future as more people use the Bee Network to travel across Greater Manchester.

“We apologise for any disruption caused by these essential works and would urge everyone to plan ahead using the Bee Network app or website. Replacement buses will be in place to help people make their journeys alongside frequent Bee Network buses that operate near the affected stops.”

Ian Davies, TfGM’s Network Director for Metrolink
