This spooky season, the Epping Ongar Railway is seeking help from fearless ghostbusters to help with reports of skeletons and ghouls roaming the railway.
They are appealing to people of all ages to turn up in their best costumes to scare away the hauntings.
Fright Week runs from the 25th to the 31st of October, where the ghostbusters can help with some Ghoul-Busting Expeditions.
Expeditions on the ghost train start from North Weird (Weald), with spookiness around every corner, a manic magician, a gruesome graveyard, scary crafts and a shopkeeper.
There is parking at Epping, where the experience starts by travelling on the vintage buses to North Weird.
There is limited disabled parking at North Weird, which must be pre-booked.
Further information and tickets can be found on Epping Ongar Railway’s website.
“We’ve always had a few bumps in the night, but this is something else entirely,”
Nick Arthurton, General Manager at the Epping Ongar Railway.
“Our evening trains have been particularly lively, with spectral passengers attempting to ‘boo!’ our conductors and bony figures trying to ‘rattle’ our drivers. It’s all very… spirited.”
