Ahead of engineering work next week, on the 19th of October, Greater Anglia are advising passengers to check before they make journeys to/from Stansted Airport.
The work will see no direct services run between Stansted Airport and London Liverpool Street, and customers are being advised to use an alternative travel mode to make journeys.
Train journeys can be made via Cambridge, with Stansted Express tickets valid on Great Northern services, which will have a journey time of around 1 hour 30 minutes.
Early and late services will be at different times, as Great Northern has different running times, so trains will leave later and finish earlier.
A replacement bus will be in place between Waltham Cross and Herford East.
Both council and Greater Anglia-operated car parks at Waltham Cross will also be closed on the 19th.
Two limited-capacity services will be running each hour between London Liverpool Street and Waltham Cross, with a bus service in place from Waltham Cross to Stansted Airport; however, space will be very limited. This journey will take around 2 hours and 40 minutes.
“We are unable to operate direct trains between London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport on Sunday 19 October while Network Rail carries out essential engineering work.
“Customers are advised to plan ahead, allow more time for their journey and check before they travel. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
Martin Beable, Greater Anglia Managing Director
