Only 12 days remain until applications close for this year’s Transpennine Route Upgrade Community Fund.

Local charities and groups are being advised to apply as soon as possible, as applications can close sooner than the 27th October if they receive enough applications.

The fund is offering £250,000 to organisations within five miles of the route.

Numerous options are available for funding, being provided in £1,000, £5,000, £10,000 or £20,000 increments.

Applications can be made online.
