ALL Glasgow Central trains suspended due to Severe Weather

ScotRail has suspended all trains at Glasgow Central (High and Low Level) due to severe weather brought by Storm Amy.

The suspension is in place until at least 12 pm today (4th October).

There is significant disruption across the Scottish rail network, with strong winds blowing debris onto the tracks and heavy rain flooding certain areas.

The following routes have seen trains suspended:

  • Mallaig – Fort William
  • Fort William / Oban – Crianlarich
  • Inverness – Elgin / Aberdeen
  • Inverness – Wick / Thurso
  • Inverness – Kyle of Lochalsh
  • Inverness -Inverurie
  • Perth – Inverness
  • All routes to / from Glasgow Central

Additionally, some routes are seeing temporary speed restrictions:

  • Alterations and cancellations to Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh services to / from Inverness
  • Speed restrictions in place between Aberdeen and Edinburgh / Glasgow Queen Street
  • Speed restriction in place between Inverurie and Montrose
