The winners of the ‘In Bloom’ Transport for London (TfL) staff competition have been announced.
The competition aims to see a variety of gardens be transformed and even features a new category this year to celebrate TfL’s 25th Anniversary.
There were numerous category awards up for grabs, and headline winners included ‘Best Theme Award’, going to Highbury & Islington station.
South Tottenham grabbed two awards, including ‘Best Theme Award’ and ‘Best in Show Award’

Judges described the station as a ‘riot of colour’ and it showed how involved the locals were in its creation, which is what snagged them the top award.
Both the 25th anniversary and sustainability were at the heart of the decision-making for the winners.
In the spirit of this, the ‘Environmental Award’ went to Goodge Street station as they reused materials and planters, used solar power and grew their own plants from seeds.
The full list of winners can be found over on TfL’s website.
“TfL’s ‘In Bloom’ gardening competition brightens up green spaces at stations and transport hubs across our network, brightening up people’s journeys. Once again, I have been impressed and inspired by this year’s fantastic entries submitted by more than 50 TfL staff, including gardens of flowers, fruits, vegetables, and air-purifying plants. The Mayor and I would like to congratulate all the winners of this year’s competition as we continue building a better, greener London for everyone.”
Seb Dance, Deputy Mayor for Transport
