“This year’s Annual Steam Gala was such a success thanks to the staff, volunteers, and locomotive owners for all of their hard work behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly. It’s all hands on deck for the whole NYMR team, from the engine prep all the way to customer service for the full event to provide an unforgettable experience.”

Nick Simpson, Head of Mechanical Engineering

  1. It was great to see the visiting locomotives and appreciate all the hard work the engineers and station staff paid and volunteers who kept the event going. It was a shame the timetable for a Gala seemed more like their own Summer timetable. It lacked the Gala atmosphere of previous years and other heritage lines. I know lack of freight was due to lack of rolling stock and out of their control.
