Update: Disruption to Southeastern services set to continue until 5pm. Incident has been resolved, this is residual delays.

Southeastern is advising passengers to check before travelling as emergency services are attending an incident between Newington and Rochester.

Sadly, a person has been hit by a train, which means that the line is closed, with major disruption expected until 11:15.

Trains cannot run between Faversham and Rochester, and services may be diverted via alternative routes where possible.

Rail replacement buses have been requested but are not running yet (at the time of writing)

Thameslink says that services will either be cancelled or finish their journey at Gillingham with ticket acceptance in place with Arriva Buses, London Buses, Docklands Light Railway and Elizabeth Line.

The latest information can be found on the National Rail website.
