From the 3rd to the 5th of October, The Watercress Line is hosting its Autumn Steam Gala.

Visiting locomotives will include 34059 Sir Archibald Sinclair (courtesy of the Bluebell Railway) and 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley (courtesy of the Sir Nigel Gresley Locomotive Trust), who will join flagship locomotive 35005 Canadian Pacific and the other resident locomotives in a fabulous event.

Resident locomotive 41312 LMS Ivatt will also be there alongside 30506 LSWR Urie S15 Class locomotive, which will be repainted in a British Railway Livery.

The Gala will see the first double-headed Bulleid train on the line since 2017. 35005 and 34059 will be attracting visitors as they take to the rails together.

During the event, there will be driving experiences, brake van rides, tours, exhibits and unlimited miniature railway rides.

Further information on the gala can be found online.

“We’re thrilled to invite visitors of all ages to our Autumn Steam Gala for a celebration of our railway heritage. We have some exciting locomotive attractions, including the Double-Headed Bulleid 34059 Sir Archibald Sinclair and 35005 Canadian Pacific -it’s an event not to be missed.”
