Škoda Group, a leading European manufacturer, has won a new contract including several tenders and repair work for domestic and foreign transport companies, which is worth €47.4 million (£41 million).
The contract includes general repairs of T3 trams, maintenance of Škoda 39T high-capacity trams, major overhaul repairs of Škoda 29T and 30T trams, and higher-level inspections of Škoda 14T trams.
They are carrying out these projects for the transport company of Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou, Ostrava Transport Company, Bratislava Transport Company, and Prague Public Transit Company, respectively.
They also have other major repair and modernisation contracts underway alongside the above-mentioned, including that of making general repairs on NIM Express double-deck trains for German DB Regio.
“The Škoda Group site in Martinov, Ostrava, has long been one of the most important service centres in Central Europe. The new contracts confirm that customers appreciate our technical expertise, experience, and ability to deliver top-quality repairs on time,”
