Following its last update in Spring, model railway company Rapido Trains UK has released a new update on its products.
New RCH 1907 7-Plank Private Owner Wagon – 2025 Range (OO gauge)
Rapido is adding a selection of new liveries to its popular RCH 1907 PO wagon range.
In 1907, the Railway Clearing House issued a set of standards for goods wagon design. Private owners built thousands of wagons to the RCH standards and used them to transport cargo around the country.
The company’s 2025 range consists of models of the seven-plank variant, which has a nine-foot wheelbase underframe. The wagon bodies include side and end doors, which enabled tipping out of the cargo. The range features wagons with various private owner liveries.

LNWR ‘Crystal Palace’ Brake Engineering Prototypes (OO gauge)
Rapido has revealed that it has received the engineering prototypes for its upcoming LNWR Dia. 17B Brake Van, which is known as the ‘Crystal Palace’ Brake.
The company is pleased with the prototypes, which include detailed features of the brake vans. The early Crystal Palace brake vans had veranda ends and veranda side doors, although later versions (and privately-owned versions) are open-ended, with the doors replaced by an iron bar.

Evolution Coach Painted Body Shell Samples (OO gauge)
Rapido continues to make progress with its first batch of OO gauge Evolution coaches. Although the batch is only part-finished, a limited number are available to purchase. This promises to be a popular addition to Rapido’s Evolution range.
New Deliveries
Rapido has taken delivery of its 44xx ‘Small Prairie’ and SECR 01.
Two more locomotive models are completed and about to be delivered: the Port of Par Twins and the ‘Caledonia’ 0-4-0 Fireless, both of which are OO gauge.
The Port of Par Twins have already passed their quality control checks, while the Caledonias will soon be put through the testing process.
