On the 23rd August, the Weardale Railway’s Gin and Cheese train is making a return.
The railway will be working in partnership with Teesdale Cheesemakers and WL Distillery to provide guests with local flavours while they embark on the 3-hour round trip.
On their journey from Bishop Auckland West to Stanhope, passengers can enjoy samples of four gins alongside five artisan cheeses.
Passengers can take a relaxing journey in style while tasting the inspired produce.
Tickets for the Gin and Cheese train can be booked online, with tickets costing £60 and only available for purchase in groups of two or four.
Information on the other events on the Weardale Railway can be found here.
“We’re thrilled to be celebrating local producers while offering something a little different for visitors and residents alike. This event is all about slowing down, enjoying the view, and savouring great North East food and drink in excellent company.”
Claire Gibbons, General Manager of Weardale Railway
