Oasis are making their comeback with 5 gigs at Heaton Park this July.

Months of planning have gone into a transport masterplan by Transport for Greater Manchester.

The plan includes having additional staff across the network, with additional tram services running between Victoria Station and Heaton Park.

There will also be a shuttle bus service running from the city centre to help people get to the venue; however, tickets are limited and priced at £10.

Using the tram is the best way to get to Heaton Park, which will avoid attendees from getting stuck in traffic and get them from Victoria quickly.

For the shows taking place on the 11th, 12th, and 19th July, the last tram will leave for the city centre at 2:02 am and towards Bury at 1:16 am. For the show on the 16th, the last tram will run at 1:32 am towards the city centre and at 12:46 am towards Bury.

Buses will be running back to Manchester after the event from a temporary bus stop inside the park from 10 pm.

Trams will be particularly busy, so general commuters should be aware and leave extra time.

If people need to drive or be dropped off, they should consider using the 24 park and ride sites to reduce congestion.

Further information on travel can be found here.

“People have waited years for the return of Oasis, and their homecoming gigs at Heaton Park are sure to be an ‘I was there’ moment for thousands of Mancunians and music-lovers from all over the country – and even overseas.

“Those lucky enough to get tickets won’t want to miss a minute – and the best way to get to Heaton Park and back will be to take advantage of the great public transport options on offer, particularly the six-minute tram service from Victoria station.

“The city will also be playing host to a number of other big events during Oasis’ run of shows – including Kool & The Gang at AO Arena and Billie Eilish at Co-op Live. Public transport and roads will be busier than usual during this exciting time, so we encourage everyone to allow plenty of time for their journey and check the Bee Network app or website for the latest travel advice.”
