ScotRail is reminding passengers that there will be extra services with additional seats throughout August’s festival and gig season.
In particular, fans heading to see Oasis this August at Scottish Gas Murrayfield will be able to benefit from the extra services.
On the 8th, 9th and 12th, Oasis will be playing, and ScotRail is encouraging attendees to travel by train.
ScotRail will also be covering Edinburgh Festivals across August, ensuring there are extra services and seats to allow people to safely travel by train.
There will be late-night services also in place to help people reach their destination after gigs have finished.
For Oasis, Murrayfield is only a short walk away from Haymarket, and once the concert has finished, people should make their way back safely and quickly to Haymarket.
Once at Haymarket, passengers will wait in a holding area until they can be directed into a queue depending on their destination.
ScotRail is advising that passengers buy tickets in advance on their app or at ticket offices.
“There’s real excitement building ahead of Oasis at Murrayfield, and we’re thrilled to be helping fans travel to these massive shows.
“With more trains running throughout August for the Edinburgh Festivals, and additional late-night services for the gigs themselves, the train is the best way to get to and from the concerts.
“We’re encouraging everyone to plan their journey in advance, make the most of the extra services, and soak up the atmosphere of a great night in the capital.”
