Steam Sounds Supreme has released an Addon of a London, Midland & Scottish Railway Ivatt 2-6-2T engine in red livery and numbered 41241.
As the Addon is still in development, it has been released as a budget version, and as it is a budget version, players are at liberty to repaint it after seeking permission from Steam Sounds Supreme.
The Addon pack contains red Ivatt 41241 in a striking red livery as seen on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway (KWVR) and three what-if variants with a BR Gill Sans font, and early and late versions of the BR crest.
It comes with three scenarios and features custom sounds, an updated cab interior, and is Quick Drive ready. An Ivatt 2MT Base Pack is required to use the Addon.

According to Steam Sounds Supreme, the Addon has a realistic, fully functioning cab with a simulation created for realistic performance, numerous cab camera views, dynamic particles, fully customisable lamps, advanced and simple modes, and a carefully crafted soundset.
41241 was purchased directly from British Railways (BR) and arrived at the KWVR in 1967, where it has run several times in a unique KWVR red livery and BR lined black. At the time 41241 arrived at the KWVR, British Railways was still operating the national network, and the KWVR was not allowed to use BR logos on 41241.
As an alternative, the railway devised its corporate livery based on an LMS livery but with KWVR letters and logo on the side tanks. It later reverted to a more authentic BR livery, but in 2018, for the KWVR’s 50th anniversary, it returned to steam with the 1968 red livery.
The Ivatt 2-6-2 tank engine follows the release of Addons for Great Western Railway (GWR) 2-8-0 tank engines Nos. 4277 Hercules and 5239 Goliath.
Players who already have the Ivatt 2-6-2 tank engine base pack only need the Addon, which costs £3.50 and is available from the Steam Sounds Supreme website.
RailAdvent has a wall clock featuring 41241 for sale on its website.

41 2Mt one of the gems of South coast Branchline work! A vast improvement of the M7. The 82 and 8000 Riddles would follow and try to compete! They would quickly reverse for yard shunting work and go anywhere with passenger traffic! Up hill (Sidmouth cliff runs) down dale! I would have a dozen of them out of 72A shed. Last sighting 41249, Memories of 41318, 41321 maybe my Fav’! I would take a few through Severn tunnel to scrap in 65! From Bristol Barrow road shed! Like putting your old dog down! Apart from not cleaned, I wouldn’t rake ash pans or touch smokeboxes! Terrible now you think about it! But Diesel waits in the wings! (Kept well oiled though)!
