Northern has announced that it will again be offering a 50% discount on child season tickets to encourage parents and children to use the train for school runs.

The huge discount is available until the 31st of July at 23:59 for the 2025-26 academic year.

Those purchasing after this time will be offered 40% off the normal price, and term-time tickets will also be going on sale following the 31st.

For example:

• Keighley to Skipton – £530 reduced to £265
• Greenbank to Knutsford – £774 reduced to £387
• Ilkley to Menston – £384 reduced to £192
• Durham to Newcastle – £844 reduced to £422

Tickets will be delivered ahead of the term start in September.
