Appeal after £10,000 is stolen from man at London railway station

British Transport Police have released images in connection with an incident and are looking for anyone who may recognise these women.

The appeal follows an incident involving £10,000 being stolen from a man’s bag at Paddington Station.

On the 20th June at 9:30 am, a 49-year-old man passed through the barriers at the station and was followed onto the train by three women.

The three women then moved through the carriage and left at the opposite end.

The man checked his bag after sitting down and realised that the envelope containing the money was missing from his rucksack.

They have released the images as they believe that they may have information which will help their investigation.

If anyone recognises these women, they should contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 170 of 20 June.

  1. Anyone who carries around this amount of money in cash is surely risking this sort of theft. Having said that, though, how did the suspects know to target this particular bag?
