Transport for Wales is advising those attending upcoming concerts at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
Over the summer, Lana Del Rey, Oasis and many others will be performing at a very busy stadium, with other big names performing at Blackweir Fields and Cardiff Castle.
The demand for train services is extremely high, so Transport for Wales and Great Western Railway will be adding extra services with additional carriages to ensure people get there and back safely.
While there are extra services available, some services may be affected by engineering work taking place across the summer.

Passengers should check online and plan ahead to ensure they have enough time.
Some of the works will be completed ahead of Lana Del Ray on the 23rd June, where there will be two extra services running.
Great Western Railway will be running six extra trains for the two nights that Oasis are performing.
Queuing systems will be in place from 10 pm and staff around the station to help guide passengers.
Lastly, passengers should be aware that:
- Cardiff Bus Interchange will close at 15:00
- Cardiff Queen Street Station will close at 22:00, unless customers have accessible requirements or are travelling to Cardiff Bay.
- Cathays Station will close at 22:00 following the Blackweir concerts only: Access will remain for accessibility requirements only and for customers alighting.
“We’re excited to welcome passengers to Cardiff for a fantastic summer of events.
“To help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone attending the concerts, we’ll be sharing detailed customer information, including our queuing systems – We strongly encourage customers to check this before travelling.
“Our dedicated teams will also be on hand to support passengers with their journeys.”
Georgie Wills, Customer Delivery & Events Planning Manager at Transport for Wales
