The Sussex Steam Rally is returning to Parham Park, West Sussex, on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July.

The two-day event will include more than fifty steam engines, including rollers, road locomotives, lorries, showman’s engines and miniature engines.

The engines will be among more than a thousand exhibits, which will include vintage and classic vehicles, working exhibits, local trade stands and family-friendly activities.

The exhibits come from all across the Weald of West Sussex and from other counties in the south of England.

The organisers have kept ticket prices at last year’s levels, and visitors can now buy early bird tickets via the Sussex Steam Rally website.

Tickets cost £10 per adult, £5 per child (5-15) and £25 for a family. Children under 5 are not charged. Tickets will be more expensive on the day.

The event is being held at Parham Park, Pulborough, West Sussex, RH20 4HR. This is the same venue that hosted the Sussex Steam Rally in 2024 and 2023.

It is organised by a team of volunteers who have been running steam rallies in Sussex since 2008. They began with the Dial Post Steam Rally and from 2012 until 2019 ran the Wiston Steam Rally.

Events in the Arena will include a steam parade, vintage vehicle parades and The Steam Games, plus a chance to steer a full-size steam engine. There will also be demonstrations of wood sawing and stone crushing powered by steam.

There will also be a traditional fun fair and vintage rides.

The craft and refreshments tent will be selling handmade gifts and treats. Visitors will also be able to partake in the offerings of a “well-stocked” local cider and real ale tent.

The event supports local and national charities, as well as raising money to host future events. The main charity that it has supported since the first Wiston Steam Rally is SERV (Sussex), which transports blood and blood products. It has also supported the RLBI and the Air Ambulance.

“We are delighted to be returning to Parham Park for a fourth year. We are excited to be hosting a weekend of fun-filled family entertainment at Parham Park,”

Anne Whittingstall of Sussex Steam Shows
