Later this month, Glasgow will see the return of the Summer Sessions at Bellahouston Park.

The event will see numerous artists perform and a large number of people attending.

To help people get to and from the music event, ScotRail is increasing its services and adding additional seats.

Dumbreck is a short distance from Bellahouston, and with regular trains between Dumbreck and Glasgow, ScotRail are encouraging people to travel by train.

There will be additional staff to ensure people get to where they need to be and have the best possible experience.

Acts kick off on the 21st June, with The Sex Pistols, followed by Sting on the 25th June, Simple Minds on the 27th June and Stereophonics on the 28th June.

For these events, ScotRail will be adding late-night services from Dumbreck to ensure customers can get back towards Glasgow Central.

This means that from 10 pm onwards, trains on the Paisley Canal line will run direct between Dumbreck and Glasgow Central.

Between Glasgow and Paisley Canal, a replacement bus will operate and will call at Mosspark, Crookston and Hawkhead. These will not call at Dumbreck or Corkerhill.

Customers are advised to book their tickets in advance and allow extra time.

“The Summer Sessions are always popular events in Glasgow and we are once again looking forward to helping thousands of fans travel to and from Bellahouston Park.

“Dumbreck station is conveniently located for customers to travel from Glasgow Central and take a short walk to the park, and we will have extra staff on hand to help direct people when they arrive.

“We are doing everything we can to help as many people as possible travel, and will be adding extra services for each of the events.

“To help with the journey experience, our advice to customers is to buy return tickets before you board, either online, via our ScotRail app, or at a ticket vending machine.”
