Blackpool Transport and Northern have partnered up to create a new combined ticket which will cover trains, trams and buses.
An add-on will be available for customers from Monday, 7th July, under the search ‘Blackpool North Bus/Tram’ and ‘Blackpool South Bus/Tram’.
Tickets will be available online, at ticket machines and in ticket offices across Northern’s network.
Previously, from 2022, customers have been able to buy tram and bus tickets from Northern’s ticket offices; however, this is the first time customers can buy tickets for onward travel digitally.

Both Northern and Blackpool Transport are taking part in Better Transport Week (16th- 22nd June) and are aiming to increase better, more sustainable and affordable transport.
There are bus and tram stops just outside both Blackpool Stations and will connect customers throughout Blackpool.
“Anyone taking the train into Blackpool can now look forward to a more seamless travel experience when using public transport to get to work or for a visit to the town’s top attractions.
“Since the first trams to North Station in June last year, we’ve recorded more than 250,000 trips to and from the stop, so this new joint ticket option is sure to prove a hit with train, tram and bus users.”
James Clough, finance and commercial director for Blackpool Transport

Who, in their right mind, is going to carry that huge ticket around with them all day?
