A £1.5m project to paint 35 railway stations on the Anglia network has been completed by Greater Anglia.
The train operator says that the project will enhance the overall look and feel of stations for passengers.
4,000 litres of paint have been used to paint doors, frames, canopies and lamp columns.
Attleborough, Colchester Town, Felixstowe, Lowestoft, March, Roydon, Thetford and Wivenhoe were repainted thanks to a £69,000 grant from The Railway Heritage Trust.
The project began in October 2024 and was completed in May 2025.
Painting took place at: Alresford, Attleborough, Audley End, Billericay, Brimsdown, Colchester Town, Cressing, Diss, Ely, Enfield Lock, Felixstowe, Frinton-on-Sea, Great Bentley, Great Chesterford, Great Yarmouth, Harlow Mill, Hockley, Kelvedon, Kirby Cross, Lowestoft, March, Newport, Ponders End, Prittlewell, Rochford, Roydon, Rye House, St Margarets, Stansted Mountfitchet, Thetford, Thorpe-le-Soken, Tottenham Hale, Ware, Witham, and Wivenhoe.
“The paint project makes stations look brighter and cleaner and feel more pleasant.

Prittlewell station on the Southend Victoria Line does need massive improvements including a new footbridge and maybe add lifts to make the station step-free accessible. Despite Prittlewell is near to Southend Victoria.
