Steam locomotive 7029 Clun Castle to visit North Wales this Saturday

7029 Clun Castle is to visit Llandudno this Saturday (3rd May 2025) as it hauls The North Wales Coast Express.

Departing Birmingham New Street at 08:41, the train will pass through Coleshill Parkway (08:58), Nuneaton (09:21), Tamworth (09:46), Lichfield Trent Valley (09:54), Stafford (10:18), Crewe (10:49) and Chester at 11:24.

At Chester, the train will reverse and Class 37 No. 37240 will take the train to Llandudno, passing through Flint (11:57), Abergele and Pensarn (12:22), Llandudno Junction (12:41) and Llandudno at 12:54.

After time in Llandudno, 7029 Clun Castle will depart at 17:55 and will head back to Birmingham New Street via Llandudno Junction (18:05), Prestatyn (18:33), Shotton (18:52), Chester (19:04), Crewe (19:35), Stafford (20:35), Lichfield Trent Valley (21:08), Tamworth (21:16), Coleshill Parkway (22:08) and Birmingham New Street at 22:29.
