From the 18th May, Southeastern’s timetable will expand in preparation for the summer months.

The train operator is encouraging people to ditch the traffic and travel by train, which will now include extra ‘summer special’ services.

These summer services will run until September, allowing more people to enjoy trains towards London, Hastings, and Kent. This is also set to include the high-speed services from St Pancras International.

For those attending shows and concerts at Dreamland, there will be late-night trains, which have been carefully timed in partnership with Dreamland to ensure people can enjoy the music.

There will be two extra Saturday services between Cannon Street and Ramsgate via Greenwich and Dartford. Additional direct services in the summer holidays connecting south-east London to coastal destinations.

Train times are now available in online journey planners, and the full timetable can be found on their website.

“We are proud to serve the south east and its wonderful attractions throughout the year but with so many beautiful beaches and coastal areas the summer months really are the best time to go out and explore.

“Whether it’s fish and chips on Whitstable beach, a stroll along Broadstairs’ Viking Bay, or seeing your favourite artist at Dreamland in Margate, Southeastern’s summer specials make it easier than ever to let the train take the strain.”

Scott Brightwell, Southeastern’s Operations and Safety Director
