East Midlands Railways’ latest advert features the drawings of its mascot done by school children.

School children ages 7 and 8, from Yarborough Academy’s Oak Class, drew Miles (EMR’s mascot) on an epic day out.

The children from Grimsby did not disappoint, showing creative ideas featuring robots, moving buildings and unicorns, which will help EMR highlight family deals on their network.

It shows Miles on an adventure with an EMR train, and highlights offers available on tickets for families, with kids under 5 travelling for free.

The advert will be featuring on ITV and on streaming services such as Disney+.

“The children from Yarborough Academy completely wowed us with their brilliant imaginations – from dinosaurs to unicorns and everything in between!

“Their creativity really shows how magical a day out by train can be. Plus, with kids under five travelling for free and 5–15-year-olds getting half-price tickets, it’s never been easier (or more fun) for families to set off on their own adventures. A huge thank you to all the pupils and staff at Yarborough Academy – you’re all stars, and we hope they find it exciting to see their drawings brought to life on TV.”
