A new fundraising partnership between TransPennine Express (TPE) and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) has begun.

Both committed to safety, the partnership will focus on coastal communities and supporting them through safety messages and raising crucial funds.

Visitors had the chance to learn about the charity, how to donate and how the partnership will benefit local communities and tourists.

TPE connects numerous cities to coastal areas, and the RNLI’s majority of rescues are for those from inland areas.

Throughout the partnership, there will be a number of station events with educational campaigns and activities that will highlight their important safety message.

Passengers will also have the opportunity to donate their Delay Repay to the RNLI.

“For so many of our customers, a trip to the coast is about making memories with family and friends—and we want those moments to be safe ones.

“We’re proud to partner with the RNLI, an organisation that shares our commitment to safety and community. Together, we’ll raise funds and awareness to support their lifesaving work, and make a positive difference to the people and places we connect every day.”
