Evolun and Ferrovie dello Stato have launched a new alliance to launch a new train service connecting London with Paris via the Channel Tunnel.
The project will have an investment of around 1.1bn euros (£935m) and aims to provide a modern alternative for the nearly 20m passengers who travel every year.
Ferrovie dello Stato is Italy’s leading railway group and already operates high-speed trains through its subsidiaries.
A number of other operators, such as Virgin, are already looking to launch an alternative service to Eurostar.

NOoooo not another going to Paris I want to go to Germany, I would like to do Hamburg to look at Modelworld then go to the Harz mountains, and if possible have run behind 18201 probably the only steam engine that may get to the ton(did 93.5 between Newcastle and York when Bittern was allowed to)
