LNER K1 No. 62005 departs Goathland, North Yorkshire Moors Railway

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway has announced changes to its services following the lineside fire yesterday.

Yesterday, 19th April, a lineside fire closed the railway, with rail replacement buses running to get passengers back to their starting station.

Today, the railway has announced that it will remain partly closed between Levisham and Goathland.

The following services will run:

  • Pickering to Levisham shuttles using the Class 37 and 6 coach set and Northeastern Auto Car
  • Grosmont to Goathland shuttles
  • Grosmont to Whitby Shuttles

The NYMR says that they hope to reopen the line later today.
