Low-cost airline Jet2 has revealed a new programme of flights from London Luton Airport, and train operator East Midlands Railway (EMR) is reminding passengers that they can use the Luton Airport Express to start their journey.
Jet2 is to operate up to thirty-six flights per week from London Luton Airport this summer.
The flights will take holidaymakers to several popular destinations, including the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands and Greece.
EMR is promising passengers quick journey times and affordable tickets to the airport.
Travelling from London to the London Luton Airport terminal will take just over half an hour. The journey costs ten pounds when booking in advance and using the Luton Airport Express and rapid transit link Luton DART, which opened two years ago.

From Monday to Saturday, Luton Airport Express services depart every half an hour, starting in the early morning and continuing until late at night. On Sundays, there is a regular, although less frequent, service.
From Luton Airport Parkway, passengers can use a lift or escalator, enabling them to move from the train platform to Luton DART without encountering steps.
The electric-powered shuttle service Luton DART will take passengers directly to the terminal, with a journey time of less than four minutes. EMR describes it as providing “a reliable, quick, and greener connection”.
The full route of the Luton Airport Express’ runs between Corby and London St Pancras, with stops at Kettering, Wellingborough, Bedford, Luton and Luton Airport Parkway.

“The addition of Jet2 and the exciting number of destinations it will serve is great news and our Luton Airport Express service is perfect for those customers looking to get to the airport.
“The speed of getting from Central London to Luton Airport Parkway and seamlessly connecting to the airport via the Luton DART really does take the stress out of travelling.
“Since we launched the Luton Airport Express, many customers have taken advantage of our £10 advance fares and have been impressed with the frequency of the service, with trains running every half-hour.
“We hope many holidaymakers and travellers use our service to begin their trip to one of Jet2’s exciting new destinations this summer.”
