This early May Bank Holiday weekend, Sunday 4 and Monday 5 May, there will be no trains between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central due to continuing major engineering works.
Although Euston will be closed on Sunday and Monday, passengers are also being warned of fewer services than normal running on Saturday, 3 May, especially in the hours leading up to Sunday morning when the closure of the southern end of the West Coast Main Line comes into effect.

Passengers are being advised to check their services before they travel and, if need be, make other travel arrangements or take a different route to complete their journeys.
During the closure of London Euston this weekend, the Caledonian Sleeper will be booked to depart from and arrive at London King’s Cross.
The work to be carried out by Network Rail continues on from the work that took place over the easter bank holiday weekend a fortnight ago.

The main part of the work is focused on the section of line between London Euston and Willesden, where new track, including points and crossings, will be laid along with the upgrading of overhead powerlines and trackside drainage systems.
New wires will be laid alongside the track and through some of the tunnels, and brickwork repairs will be undertaken on retaining walls and bridges in cuttings.
Other work taking place will see new track and ballast being laid between Queens Park and Kilburn. Embankment strengthening work will be taking place near Harlesden to prevent future subsidence, while other drainage systems are to be upgraded around Tring to prevent future flooding.
All the work being undertaken this weekend is part of the £133m investment in the national railway network throughout May.
“There’s a lot of great work happening over the Early May bank holiday to improve the reliability and safety of the railway for passengers and freight. We know some of this will be disruptive, but bank holidays remain the least busy time for carrying out complex upgrades.
“I’d like to encourage people to plan ahead at www.nationalrail.co.uk/spring and recommend to those planning journeys to or from London Euston, to travel either side of the Early May bank holiday weekend for the most straightforward journey.”
