Ahead of the May half-term, Severn Valley Railway is making visiting more accessible through its ‘Kid for a Quid’ offer.
The offer, which will be running from the 24th May until the 1st June, will allow more families to experience the heritage railway.
Every adult who purchases a Freedom of the Line ticket, up to 4 children, can travel for £1 each, provided they are between 4 and 17 years old.
There’s plenty to see at the railway, from their heritage locomotives to wildlife.
There is also something to do at every stop, such as riverside walks in Bewdley, where you can see numerous birds like kingfishers. The Wyre Forest Reserve and other walking routes surround Bewdley. Additionally, The Engine House Visitor Centre is at Highley.
Tickets for the half term can now be pre-booked online on their website.
The discount will be applied during checkout, or alternatively, they can be booked at any Severn Valley Railway booking office.
‘Our offer is all about making it easier for families to create lasting memories together, We want as many people as possible to experience the magic and excitement of heritage rail travel without breaking the bank.
‘Plus, between 26 and 30 May, Train Time UK is back at The Engine House. This giant-sized children’s train set was a huge hit during the Easter holidays, and we’ve brought it back again to entertain and stimulate young minds.’
Lewis Maddox, the SVR’s visitor engagement manager
