Network Rail has issued a reminder that passengers intending to travel from London Euston over the Easter bank holiday weekend should plan ahead and make alternative arrangements.
On Easter Saturday, 19th April, Easter Sunday, 20th April, and Easter Monday, 21, April, Euston station will be completely closed with no trains running between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central.
A reduced service will also be in operation on Good Friday, 18th April.

The disruption to travel is necessary to allow Network Rail to carry out vital track and drainage upgrades on the West Coast Main Line, including:
- Renewing over 350 metres of track near Hemel Hempstead.
- Improving 200 metres of drainage near Leighton Buzzard.
- Completing connection of a new freight depot at Northampton to the West Coast Main Line.
The new freight hub at Northampton will serve a logistics site with a capacity of five million square feet of warehouse space, and expected to provide employment for up to 7,000 people.
Work to connect the hub to the West Coast Main Line involves activating a complex new signalling system, and when completed, it will support greener and more efficient rail freight transport.
While Euston is closed, Network Rail will take the opportunity to improve the station’s toilet facilities including the male, female, and accessible toilets, and the changing places units.
New cubicles and soap dispensers will be fitted, other fixtures replaced, and a deep clean of all areas will be carried out. New signage will also be fitted throughout the station to improve wayfinding for passengers.

Further improvements will be carried out at Euston station over the spring bank holiday, which will require its complete closure on Sunday, 4th and Monday, 5th May, and with fewer services running on Saturday, 3rd May.
Passengers affected by the closure of Euston should plan their journeys either side of the Easter and spring bank holidays, and check their travel plans at www.nationalrail.co.uk.
