CrossCountry says new timetable will see an additional 28,000 seats a week

CrossCountry has released its plans for timetables that will be introduced from May 2025.

The new timetables will see an additional 28,000 seats a week when it is introduced on Sunday 18th May 2025.

The additional seats will provide a boost for passengers on the busy route between Newcastle and Reading via York, Doncaster and Birmingham.

The new timetable has already been uploaded to the online systems for passengers to start planning ahead.

Shiona Rolfe, Managing Director at CrossCountry, said: “We know customers rely on us to get to where they need to be. Our May 2025 timetable update aims to improve reliability and comfort levels across the country, as well as helping more people to leave the car at home and take the train.”
